Bliss
This song was written sometime in 2002, I think. When I played it often people would say, “You look like you really get into it on that song.” This song is based on a state of mind and playing it always gets me back too it. Also when I play this song, I have to bounce my torso with the beat to avoid losing time (it’s quick) which is probably the basis for the comment in the first place.
Lyrics:
I'm getting squeezed From seven yards away And I'm trying to breath And I'm trying to say Do you know what time it is And how's it going, man? But it comes out in a whisper That's hard to understand Bliss has blue eyes, Bliss has brown hair When she's dying let me be there So I can tell her that she's the most wonderful thing My lonely, tired, dried-up eyes have seen I might seem weird From seven yards away Some older guy Who watches while you play If she would step close to me Look up and touch my face My life would be a different thing The world a different place Bliss has blue eyes, Bliss has brown hair When she's dying let me be there So I can tell her that she's the most wonderful thing My lonely, tired, dried-up eyes have seen
